The Splendid hut

“I want to dream that dream all over again”

“That was like really lovely witchcraft”

‘The Splendid Hut’ is a mobile shrine on a small boat trailer. Imagine the luminescence of a baroque chapel hidden in a small black hut. The Hut contains a secret cinema showing beautiful films created by Open The Box Arts.

Audiences are invited to gaze at the interior of The Splendid Hut via different sized doors and windows. Two people at a time, or small family bubbles, can sit inside The Hut and experience an intimate screening.

Conversely, after dark, the doors are flung wide to reveal the projection screen, flanked by softly lit hangings. The Hut is transformed into an outdoor cinema, allowing for much larger audiences.
